Tuesday morning, 1.5 mile into the woods, a girl was visiting her Grandma when a wolf ate them both. A nearby huntsman came to their rescue and was able to save the girl and her grandmother.

“That wolf has been pestering me for years now,” said the Huntsman, “I’m just so happy I was there at the right time.”

The young girl, Elisabeth, also known as Little Red Ridinghood because of the red, velvet, hooded cloak she dons, was lured off the trail by the devious wolf. The wolf was able to find her grandmother’s home, devoured the elderly woman and then dressed himself in her clothing to trick the girl once she arrived and consumed her too. The Huntsman arrived shortly thereafter, killed the resting wolf and then cut him open, to find the girl and her grandmother unharmed.

“They were both pretty shaken up, and poor Grandma looked exhausted.” The Huntsman said about the girl and Grandma’s immediate conditions. “They had all the fixings for a nice meal – bread, fresh butter and wine – even flowers! – so I think that cheered them up afterwards.”

Elisabeth and her mother had baked the bread and made the butter by hand the day prior for Elisabeth’s grandma who had fallen ill. Elisabeth had made the voyage to her Grandma’s house “hundreds of times” according to her emotional mother, and was going to deliver the treats.
